I'd just love to see how people will try to defend him if he goes with the cotto 2 option.
If for whatever reason this fight falls through he better retire. The backlash will be Immense.

This guy has just been the ringleader of a ridiculous circus for too long now. I'm never buying any fight of his that doesnt involve Manny, I'm sure many others won't either. He'd have to know that if he fights someone other than Manny his ppv numbers will be pathetic

I agree, there will be no need to finish his final two fights with Showtime. Its Pacquiao or his career Is over. The public will no longer accept petty excuses such as Floyd not agreeing to a decision made by HBO, a network he has no association with. The public face to face will only further enrage the public when the media reports that the fight fell through because Floyd demanded something Idiotic.

            Well arum just said this

''There's a lot more work to do... hopefully the work would be done, you have to understand there's a lot of money involved here, a lot of issues. It's a big deal and it takes time to negotiate a fight.''

O he knows but he doesn't care as his pay per fight is guaranteed. The only ones hurting will be the Manny and general boxing fans and Showtime.

Nobody is claiming arum is getting in the way of anything. Everytime arum acts excited and says the fight will get done and its close and hes optimistic, Espinoza or Floyd come out and say he's lying and that there's so much more to go, and basically just bash arum. Arum being optimistic about this fight happening is no excuse for mayweather to duck. He is looking for a way out and its obvious. He knows he will lose and then he wont surpass rocky marciano. What he doesn't understand is marciano fought all the best heavyweights of his time unlike Floyd who has always ducked the best opposition available. Marciano beat Joe Louis, yet Louis had a few losses and is regarded by everyone as either number 1 or number 2 heavyweight of all time while Marciano is bottom top ten. Floyd is destroying his own legacy even though he thinks its helping it by not losing to pacquiao.

Here is my advice to Arum, Manny, and Floyd.......I hope someone, somewhere on either of their sides reads these forums too. If you jerkwads don't get it right this time, no one is buying anymore of Floyd or Pac's PPV's.

Quit fooling around, act like real businessmen, and agree that it is in the best interest of everyone to make EVERYONE happy by making this fight happen; goes without the need to say making both Manny and Floyd's teams very rich in the process.

Grow the Frick up and put your business clothes on....right now you both sound like amateurs, you are not impressing anyone with these bush league antics.

Has there ever in the history of boxing been years and years of negotiations that stalled and went awwry like Pac/Floyd? Was Tyson/Lewis like this back in the 90s?
