    During a courtesy visit to Marca magazine in Spain, by the WBA President Gilberto Mendoza and Vice President Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, they made it clear that they are working in towards spreading boxing to all continents.

    President Mendoza discussed the meetings and projects between the WBA, WBC and IBF: "the cooperative relationship between the organizations is unique. We are trying to create tournaments where the champions of each organization compete to have the unique champion as we want".

      Its sad that in boxing,the only way that things get done,are when people are backed up against a wall,have no options,or forced to by a higher power. Hell,kovalev vs stevenson is only happening,because the wbc told Stevenson that kovalev was basically his mandatory. Santa Cruz will only fight rigo if the wbc orders him to. Haymon wanted to get quillen another shot at the belt he just dropped,until the organization put their foot down,and ordered Lee to defend against chaunders. And cotto will probably drop his belt,instead of facing GGG like the wbc told him to.

            AIBA is not getting enough recognition stateside. I like their organization and what they're doing for fighters.
