I was impressed by neither, I don't think it was one of the " Worst decisions ever", as some people on this thread think but I did have it scored 116-113 for Rahman and felt he deserved the win. I was impressed by neither man though. Perhaps Toney will learn that being fat is not an advantage, but don't be surprised if he shows up to fight next time weighing 245 or something.

And the answer is no and neither does Hasim Rahman. It was close fight, Rahman didn't destroy James Toney and Toney didn't destroy Hasim Rahman. Toney came into the fight too heavy, I thought Toney was going to win but when I heard 237 I had some doubts. A rematch will most likely take place and this time most likely we will have a real winner. If Toney loses that fight, then you guys should trash him if you want. But to trash him off a draw to me shows a hidden agenda. It shows that you guys wanted a reason tonight to call Toney a fat loser, and you didn't get your Rahman win so you called him that off a draw.

Heres the resume of the fat man:
          Achievements
          • The WBA Heavyweight Champion 4/30/2005 Ruled no-decision
          • The Ring Magazine “2003 Fighter of the Year”
          • USA Today “2003 Fighter of the Year”
          • World championship fights - 10-1-1
          • Rated WBO #1, The Ring #5, WBC #3, WBA #3, IBF #4 at heavyweight
          • Former IBF cruiserweight world champion
          • Former IBF super middleweight world champion, 3 successful defenses
          • Former IBF middleweight world champion, 6 successful defenses
          • Former USBA light heavyweight champion
          • The Ring Magazine “1991 Fighter of the Year” -Jamestoney.com

Not too bad for a fat short guy..huh?
I dont want to see a rematch nor do I want either fighter to be "the Champ" at this point.

agree with raesaad's statement of not wanting either of these guys to be known as THE champ.

bozo, you scored a draw?!?! now i had it 4-1 originally going into the sixth. i think it was a round off of what lederman scored it at that point. i just don't think toney did enough to win 4 out of the last 6 rounds. it may have been a 3-3 split into the final 6 rounds. i would say rahman won the 12th and at least half of the first 6 rounds for sure.

i'm sure i'll watch the fight a few more times soon and maybe write up a post fight review.

The only reason why people think Toney sucks now is because so many people casted this "invincible image" on him no matter what weight he'd fight at, truth is when he's too heavy he gets sloppy and slow JUST LIKE EVERY HUMAN BEING.
