Why he can't fight in the US. We (sport) need fighters like him...
Does it really matter? Joe Mesi cant fight in the US, but hes fighting in Puerto Rico. Ali couldnt fight here, so he went to Manila. Hes next fight is with someone Jose Cotto KO in 7..
I'm hoping to see Valero get a big fight soon, dispite the US ban.
At 1st, you want to say he's been fighting a lot of suspect guys to get nothing but 1st round KO's, and what's his stamina like as it's never come into question?
But I sure want to find out. He's a big ****er for sure.
I agree with Bozo here.
A friend overseas sent me his ko over a Japanese boxer "Hero" Banda?
For being a Hero, the Japanese couldn't fight a lick.
I have to see him in there with several live bodies first before I can judge the fellow, as he has unanswered questions concerning his stamina.
Very powerful hitter to be sure.
Kind of like a southpaw mini John "The Beast" Mugabi the way he loads up on every shot and swings for the fences.
Don't get too excited over a guy whose opponents records total out to 116W - 94L - 15D. I'd definitely like to see him take a step up in class. It seems like his promoters are intent on keeping this 1st round KO thing going all the way until he can get back to US, make huge money on first fight with 1 huge star, and that's it. Heck, he may even get lucky against this 1 huge star he fights, though it's like, how many professional rounds have you fought out of your 17 fights?! Oh, 17. Very unexperienced though I guess you can say he can punch. Right?
The fighter we can compare him to at the moment in my opinion is Acelino Freitas, but not based on style but because of his many ko's. I remember when Freitas was coming up the ranks he keep ko'ing everbody. But I never got to see him in his early stages or in sparring to see how he compares to Edwin Valero. Anyone remember Freitas early career and how does it compare to Valeros recent career and how did Freitas look in sparring compared to Valero?
