how do you go from jeff lacy to stevenson? pretty sure there are a number of steps in between. this isn't the jokezaghe era anymore. good fighters do exist in your division.

This^. Umberto looks kinda promising but beating Jeff Lacys ghost shouldn't earn you a title fight.

Actually IMO Savignes best win was over Jackson Junior who's actually pretty good despite being relatively unproven, but Umberto tested posive for PEDs after that. Aside from beating up Richard Halls withered corpse Savigne has beaten no-one and shouldn't even be mentioned in relation to title fights at this point. He may be dangerous but he's way down the food chain.

Can't find details on Umbertos PED failure but speculating based on the amount he rehydrated against Lacy (remember Jeffs 'twin brother' hypothesis LOL) I'm guessing diuretics at least.

On the present day there's nothing like "earning" the title fights. Champions doen;t want to fight good oponents because is to risky. The excuses are all around to explain why not fight the real challenges. "El Don" is by far qualified due to his exposures to amateurs
