Are you excited that you guys have a heavyweight champion? We haven't had one since like 2006. What do you think of Wilder? Do you think he has potential to be a champion for a long time? He showed me a lot as a boxer his last fight with his jab and moving around the ring. I understand he's a work in progress but I think he has a lot of potential to be great. Thoughts boxing heads?
Are Americans excited for Deontay Wilder?

If you're not at least a little excited about a young, 6'7, undefeated, ENORMOUS PUNCHING American heavyweight that's shown some good skills, why you even watch boxing? -
He wasn't very enormous punching against Stiverne.
American: Not a factor. If anything it takes points away since foreign boxers have to go on a killing spree to get any attention, but an even mediocre American-based heavyweight is usually thrust into the top 5 prematurely.
Undefeated: Insert against 99% bums asterisk here.Last edited by ////; 01-29-2015, 02:07 PM.Comment

I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon to be honest. I think Wilder's people know he aint ready yet so they will let it drag on for a bit. I'm hoping for a fury showdown this year. I would love to see Wilder flatten his ass over in the UK.Comment

I am happy we got a titlist now, but not excited per se. Wilder needs to show some more facets of his game to see if he is a complete fighter. He stuck to the game plan to beat Stiverne, I commend him for that. It wasn't an exciting fight, but it was a by the book win. Nothing flashy, just a good win.Comment
