Comments Thread For: Molina Not Expecting Same Broner Who Fought Maidana

John Molina Jr. doesn’t think you can take too much from Adrien Broner’s loss to Marcos Maidana in 2013 — at least in terms of what it means for Broner’s bout with Molina on the undercard of the March 7 “Premier Boxing Champions” show on NBC.

“I always really discredit and don’t like when people say, ‘I’ve seen this fight, so I know exactly how that guy’s going to fight.’ Every man is different,” Molina said on a Jan. 28 media conference call. “I’ve seen how Adrien Broner fights. I’ve seen how he reacts under pressure. But not under pressure from me. Under pressure from Marcos Maidana. Under pressure from guys like [Daniel] Ponce De Leon. [Click Here To Read More]

Or the one who fought Malignaggi. They're all the same!

        Exactly

Broner is growing on me because he's funny, but talent wise I think he hit his ceiling.

I kind of understand what he's trying to say. His opponents each did apply different types of pressure, but Broner reacted the same each time.
Flat footed and trying to land fast, hard counters. Prepare for that Molina and you should be fine.

I mean, the guys damn near 30 fights into his career. He is who he is at this point. I don't expect any major changes, ever, from Broner.

I like his philosophy but it's not like Broner is some multidimensional chameleon who's going to adapt and react to any given situation differently. In reality he's pretty much the same and acts the same whenever he's put under pressure. That is to say, pretty ******ly.

I'm on the same page with beercules on Broner; wouldn't susprise me one bit if the kid has basically peaked and won't really ever turn out to be more than he already is. His lack of dedication to the sport sure hurts his chances for one thing.

I agree, now Broner is like 65% of the fighter that Maidana beat down. He is damaged goods.

Molina is a warrior & a gentleman & that's awesome but IMO Broner is always the same disrespectful sack of **** that he always has been. Wanna be carbon copy of p*ssyboy Floyd. Molina will get tagged & maybe even dropped cuz Broner is strong, but Molina has a wicked punchers chance & nasty pop behind each shot. Molina duz need to KO him for the win tho. Too many robberies lately. Go get him "Gladiator"!
