    Miguel Cotto vs Peter Quillin???

Im starting to get the feeling that this fight is going to happen. Lee was "ordered" to fight his mando, I think its saunders not to sure right now lol... So that leaves quillin without a fight and since that new news about floyd vs pac, I'm positively hopefull that fight happens, would scratch floyd-cotto 2 off the table. On top of that Canelo-Kirkland is going to happen. You also have GGG-Murray already set... All that leaves is Cotto vs Quillin, in June, in MSG.

Please post an explanation as to why you would think that? Can everyone else do the same? It would eliminate alot of anyone one sentence types of posting.

Any top tier geniune middleweight would be Cotto at the moment. The size difference more than anything else would be too much for Miguel. Add to that he hasn't had a decent win in years at 154. I'd pick Quillin over him any day of the week.

That would be a quality fight for u real boxing fans. Both guys have better resumes than Golovkin.

You must think Austin Trout is better than Kid Chocolate?? If so you will find out you are wrong.

Quillin loses by TKO. His offense is good as he's able to mix fast body and head combinations, and he works on timing his opponent throughout the fight. However, he NEVER adapts defensively throughout a fight. It's painful for me to watch the same punch repeatedly land on someone with no adjustment whatsoever. Cotto is a legit champion, and with his speed and power, Pete would go night night by rd 7.

I was thinking this too. If Mayweather-Pacquiao is made, I bet this happens.

Cotto needs someone legit to fight at 160. Quillin is a decent fighter, ranked. Would be a decent win.

It would also give us a chance to be done with Quillin finally.

**** that. Quillin doesn't deserve a big fight. If that fight happens I might start hating on Cotto. He'd have to win and fight Golovkin immediately afterwards for me not turn on him.
