Comments Thread For: Cunningham: Jennings Can't Go For KO Of Wlad, Must Box

NEW YORK – Steve Cunningham and Bryant Jennings have talked about fighting one day in an all-Philadelphia heavyweight showdown.

They’re friends, though, and they have agreed that the money must be worthwhile if they’re ever to fight. There would be much more money in that fight if Jennings (19-0, 10 KOs) were able to pull off a huge upset April 25 at Madison Square Garden, where he’ll challenge Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 KOs) for the IBF, WBA & WBO titles in an HBO “World Championship Boxing” main event.

He is right, obviously. Looking forward to seeing him in with Glazkov, crucial fight for both.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit. I got Cunningham over Glazkov though. Full support from me. But he'll be earning the right to get KO'd like Jennings did.

A lot of Klitschko's opponents (like some of the less bright posters on this forum) seem to think he's "easy to KO" once you get past his jab and as a result spend the entire fight doing nothing, waiting for a KO that never comes.

Jennings has a reach advantage, it would be interesting if he tries to box and counter Wladimir.... For a few rounds anyway, then he gets knocked out.

Heading should read: Jennings Can't Go For KO, Must Hope For Klitschko In Ring Heart Attack!"

Jennings has to keep the jab working with his Long Sonny Liston reach. And If Wlad tries to clinch throw the right Uppercut inn and POOOW!!! Winner by knockout Jennings. Its realy that easy. Wlad is not a verry good fighter.

I agree with cunningham. the best strategy with wlad being older now is to test his stamina and try to take him late. coming at him face first going for the kayo has always resulted in disaster for the opponent. even sanders didnt usde that strategy. he counter punched
