Comments Thread For: Marquez Denies Setting UK Meeting For Brook Fight

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) has denied that he's holding meetings in the UK to discuss a potential fight with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs).

On Sunday, Marquez jetted off to the UK with trainer Nacho Beristain. The two of them co-train Daniel Estrada, who this coming Saturday night in London will face Kevin Mitchell in a WBC eliminator.

That knee though. Bone is sitting on bone. The cartilage was eaten alive by the PEDs.

the great juan manuel marquez doesnt need this fight. its nothing for him. im a kell brook fan but, hes only fringing on world wide recognition and is not yet a house hold name the world over...jmm is.
yes its a big fight for kell but, with the great jmm? no fackin chance at this stage im afraid to say.
he should fight "greedy bum" instead but, the greedy bum is to scared to lose against what she calls "not an elite fighter yet" "still alot to proove" lol undefeated and just beat the bloke who she has been avoiding! haha! 5hitter!
anyway, it should go like this at 147Ib:::
        kell vs guererro
pacman vs king "khunt" (just to get rid of the bum)
        alexander vs porter.
        maidana vs bradley.
        garcia vs alexander (at 147Ib)
        154Ib:
        floyd vs cotto II
        canelo vs mundine or andrade
judah vs "boner"(which would probably be a ko victory for JUDAH)
        etc etc etc

Marquez is another of those guys that I think ranks alongside Espinoza and Cotto's manager/adviser/whatever he is. These guys are always negative, always giving unclear answers or denying what we want to hear. No one believes that Marquez is actually going to retire, and yet he insists on dangling that possibility every chance he gets. I just can't stand this personality type, even though I love Marquez as a fighter. Espinoza and Cotto's guy, however, can take a flying leap for all I care.

Marquez has the pleasure of knowing he's beat and been beat by possibly the sports GOAT, Manny Pacquiao. Commentate on your golpe show as PAC moves on with a win over FMJ either in may or later in the year...
