I watched part of it last night, and Ramirez needs to work on his head movement.

He should also work on sticking with the jab, and learn to fight tall.

I noticed a couple of times in the fight, he kept his left hand out there too long, allowing Vlasov to hit him with a right.

Overall, I think this fight was a good learning experience for Ramirez.

Needs to work on his defence

He does, but I just don't know that even if he did work on his defense he'd be able to improve it all that much and still fight in a manner that he can be most successful with, because of his physical limitations.

He leans in a lot, he lingers on the inside, and he doesn't move his head enough...and he takes a lot of clean punches...but that's part of the risk you take when you fight like he does and when you go to the body as much as he does.

I think his defense will limit him as he steps up, but if he's willing to take the punishment that comes with his style, then he should make for some good fights and make some noise.

Funny, I also thought that Ramirez needed to work on his inside game. And before people yell at me, there's more to inside fighting than working the body.
