Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz, who attended the game with Pacquiao, told Yahoo Sports that Pacquiao had planned to fly to the Philippines on Tuesday via New York, but had trouble getting a flight out due to the weather, so they opted to go to the game. Koncz said they are now planning to fly to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

And Pacquaio would have been back to his own country if it wasn't for the weather. Yet, Mayweather was the one who initiated contact by going to the game knowing Pacquiao would be there.

I agree that it was planned to a small degree but I'm not getting my hopes up that this is gonna lead to a superbowl announcement or the fight getting made at all

The superbowl is on Feb 1. That means theres gonna be 3 months and 1 day to promote this. Thats not enough time for a fight of this magnitude.

They're already promoting This fight , it just isn't announced yet.

Arum flaming the fire with his PR Bs. To this staged performance tonight. Plus many more instances in the past 6 months

They've been carefully building this up it's not a coincidence that this is the first time they Met. This is all done to get as much buzz for this fight Get both sides riled up.

Ive been saying it on here for months probably one of the first saying its happening in May .

I don't think the fight is going to happen May 2.

But how is 3 months not enough to promote Mayweather vs. Pacquiao? It's been promoted for the last 5 years.

lol this is the biggest fight in the world. they could announce it a week before May 2 and it would be enough time. Announcing the fight will happen is more than enough promo

Its been talked about for the last 5 years but promoting is entirely different.

They would have to do a world wide tour. The press would be all over this fight and would all want to do an exclusive interviews. A media round table wouldn't cut it. HBO and SHO would both want to do an All access or 24/7.

There would be so much riding on this fight in terms of legacy that 3 months is extremely short. Pac usually trains 8 to 10 weeks for a fight. 3 months is 12 weeks. They would probably need a month just for the press tour. And then they would need a longer training camp because of how important this fight is and all the interview requests which they need to do because they want people to get hyped up about it.

I remember someone saying years ago that this fight would need 6 months to promote and I think it was Floyd himself said it

But Manny said his phone line was open 24 hours a day 7 days a week....looks like Floyd trumped the phone call-and it was intentional...one look at Floyd's hoodie says that.

Pac and his adviser looked confused as hell. I don't really think Manny has anything to do with this fight not happening, but I think Arum does-hell, even Manny thought it was possible so he hired people to see if Arum is holding this up.
