I mean this is one really bad side for mayweather if he decides to fight for the 160 title. Conversations with golovkin now make sense, you are no longer too small to face ggg, you have no argument anymore. you have fought for the 160 title so now people are going to assume that a ggg fight is possible. and they are right to assume that
If mayweather fights cotto for the 160 title, Does GGG come into the conversation?

No, floyd will win a MW title from Cotto then despite being middleweight champion, everyone will call you "unrealistic" for saying he should fight a middleweight.
That's how it is with Cotto already.
Their own fans know this middleweight stuff is a parody. -

When has the WBC forced him to do something like that? He still has the WBC 147 and 154 and kept his ranking/title through jail.
If they fight and Mayweather wins, GGG might as well drop the interim title because there's really no point in holding it and paying a santioning feeComment

The WBC will make Golovkin full champion and Mayweather champion emeritus (like they did with Chavez & Martinez).
I don't blame the WBC either. Their raking Floyd for sanctioning fees just so he can pretend he's the champion of the divisions. Winning the MW title at 154.5 against a JMW is a joke. Floyd has nothing on Robinson, Griffith, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Trinidad, and Dela Hoya.Comment

I don't know why but I feel if Floyd vs Cotto 2 happens Floyd losses. I don't give a damn about the first fight. Cotto hasn't been Cotto since Margarito 1. Then when he beat Marg's in the rematch he was on this boxer puncher bull**** that was totally out side of his style. At the higher weight and Roach in his corner I have to give the nod to Cotto. Nothing but love for Floyd's ability but homie isn't no 160 lbs type dude.Comment
