Who knows how much the HW landscape will change in 2 years. But if he's got a decent chin on him he can reach the top and stay there.

If anybody made a bet like that in HW boxing, they would be a ****ing idiot.

I could understand making such a bet regarding giant, elite skilled, thoroughly pedigreed boxers like Lennox or the Klitschko's for example, but Joshua is more of a stiff and has none of that pedigree or boxing brain.

I am not saying he CAN'T be, he might! He certainly has some credible qualities that's for sure!

But that would be a really risky bet. Michael Grant was once the heir apparent to the HW throne. He didn't live up to the expectation. Just for example.

I'm a big believer in Joshua. I think he is the best Heavyweight in Britain. Would love to see him fight Wilder.

I can't understand the why some people think Fatman Fury is so great. He wouldn't last 3 rounds in the ring with Anthony Joshua.

Well I just reviewed the Joshua compilation right then. He certainly has talent and promise (as well as the size and the athleticism).

But nothing in those observed opponents comes close to matching the speed, range, weight and combination boxing skills of Fury.

If the green Joshua can beat Fury now, well that'd be something.

And even now Joshua would feature pretty prominently on Fury's resume likewise.

But once again, there's nothing in the performance of Joshua so far that leads to him belting out Fury.

Assuming Haye returns to full form, I confidently still support him as the best boxer in Britain.

Joshua might be highly athletic too on a bigger scale, but he can't do what Haye can if he's still the goods.

            @Cut Man..

Maybe you will prove me wrong on this. Joshua is a great prospect, I'll give you that. Could be me just being pessimistic.

Please tell me where you get this idea about fury, Point specifically to a fight, a round? any example of this so called "speed and skill" that makes you think he's a top Heavyweight?

Joshua is just building up to the bigger fights. He's knocked out everyone he faced inside 3 rounds with an average fight time of 1 minute 35 seconds

This is the best British Heavyweight.

As I said before, I just watched the Joshua compilation online.

                Above are some Fury highlights.

Jump to about 4:50 where roughly some footage of his 1st Chisora fight are and watch from there. Will only take 2 mins and you'll see Cunningham too. The second Chisora fight, his best performance isn't even included.

From comparing both sets, I can objectively state that Fury has fought better opponents and looks faster than Joshua with a more fluid attack against them.

He is kind of like a gigantic modern day version of Ali. He purposely flicks his shots without really setting down for more speed, output and flow of combinations and because he's so big he hits pretty hard anyway (incidentally complete with the trash talk as well).

Fury seems to be improving with every fight as well. Given their comparable ages, Fury will seem to have amassed a large lead in experience too over Joshua. And he is actually in good condition now as well and strong.

THIS^^^ Is simply a case for Fury, nothing more.

If I had to bet everything? NO.

Joshua is the best HW prospect in the world, but so many things can go wrong that "no" would be the safer bet.

Maybe he turns out to be glass chinned, maybe he suffers an unexpected loss that sets him back, maybe he gets injured, loses his dedication etc.

Joshua is a gold medal winner just like Klitschko and Lewis.
