Looks like I'm not the only one, jabsRstiff..

The generations will include Mike McCallum and Marlon Starling, who are active in gyms on opposite sides of the country. In a way, Lewis said, he helped McCallum get past Mike Watson in England. “He was losing that fight and I told him,” said Lewis. “He said he was doing the best he could. I told him, ‘Well, do more.’ He did.

I've said it once and I'll say it again - the way the judges had that fight scored was disgraceful. The first round was pretty even, Watson forcing the fight. McCallum edged the second round. Watson clearly won the next two rounds. McCallum came back into it in round five, even round. Watson kept forcing the fight for round after round after round while continuing to block most of what McCallum was throwing back. I thought Watson was winning, and a big last two rounds would of sealed it on my scorecard.. with the 25-year-old kid from Islington declared the new world champion.

Yes he did stopped Watson. I think JuyJuy is arguing that Watson was winning.

But how? Watson only clearly lost round 2. He was throwing twice as many punches as McCallum while blocking most of what McCallum was throwing back, Watson made the fight and I remember at the time thinking that McCallum was going to break come the end. But McCallum got lucky when Watson's gumshield came out at the very start of the 11th, because Watson had to really open up and try to end the fight there and then or fight for three minutes without a mouthpiece and risk losing his teeth..

I just watched the fight yesterday just because of you. I have this fight in my collection, but this was only the second time I've watched in all of these years.

              I agree Watson was winning
