GGG vs Andre Dirrell who wins and why

I think this would be a great fight....GGG has never been in the ring with someone with his talent or natural gifts.

I'd favor Dirrell who is hungry to prove himself, has been in with stiffer competition...He would be a stylistic nightmare for GGG...only way GGG could win IMO is by ko or tko because he'd get thoroughly outboxed

    I pick Dirrell

It's 2015 not 2009, Andre Dirrell hasn't been looking good lately and he's fought nothing but cans since the Abraham fight; this is coming a Dirrell fan.

I still think Dirrell would be GGG's biggest challenge to date (if they fight at 168), but this is not the same Dirrell who schooled Froch in his backyard (and got robbed).

I agree that Dirrell is not the same, he is actually sitting down on his punches and fights a more pro style, not depending on his legs and reflexes.

His comp has dropped off but that's too be expected after injuries and a lay off

The talent is still there, as is the desire and attitude

GGG isn't exactly beating a murderer's row of competition so Dirrell would be a big step up in talent...also you have to take in account that Dirrell is the younger fighter and is more experienced against top shelf comp.

GGG is being overrated for his sub par competition simply because he's no nonsense and knocking guys out. I guess his amateur background makes him interesting too.

I think Andre Dirrell of 2009 is fresh in people's minds, but he may not be the same. In recent fights, his talent still looks there. But he's not facing top competition so it's hard to tell.

I think it's 50-50 right now. IF I had to give a 60/40 to anyone, it's GGG because he's on a hot streak while Dirrell had some setbacks.

Dirrell could catch him with something nice with those quick hands and poise. GGG could catch him nicely too. Either could win a decision. Feels very 50/50.

5 years ago, I'd have said Dirrell most likely outboxes GGG, or at least makes it a 50/50 fight.

Today? GGG KO's him ICE-COLD in under 5 rounds. Maybe 8 rounds if Dirrell reduces his punch-count to a paltry 10-20/round, and keeps his bike in overdrive gear.

I'm also actually an Andre Dirrell fan, or as much of one as you still can be seeing as how he's all but retired.

I was front-row, ringside, right behind Tommy Hearns, actually, for his Detroit S6 fight against Abraham. He looked good in that fight, and even seemed to toughen out the storm against Abraham late... Until he did what appeared to be faking his way to a DQ-victory.
