Honestly, I never considered guys like Diaz, Katsidis and Casamayor as anything relevant.

      Pac-JMM 4
      Barrera
      and...... a distant
      Diaz

a past it casamayor, and a solid but not great Katsidis,..aren't really that impressive.

Take away Pac from his resume, and he'd have an Amir Khan/Tim Bradley/Robert Guerrero type resume. Heck, I'd say a notch below Bradley's. But still a very good career. He's a legit 3 division champ at 126, 130, 135. That's pretty impressive.

      Because,
yes he did lose a few of those close fights to Pac, Chris John, and Norwood.

Then you weren't watching boxing then when Marquez fought them. He pretty much cleaned up the LW division with those wins, he was only missing Nate Campbell. In recent memory, who's the last guy you can say cleaned up a competitive division? Maybe Andre Ward, and besides him? It doesn't happen as much anymore.

Yes, JMM is a legit champ at 126-130-135. I give him huge credit for that. That's a great accomplishment. Look at Rigo, he won't even move up 1 weight class to 126. Just to put that into perspective. Rigo is great don't get me wrong,..Just showing the skill that's necessary in moving up weights.

But the fact that he ducked Khan, Rios, Guerrero, Provodnikov really annoys me. So I give him negative points on JMM's resume.

            Pac-JMM 4
            Barrera
            Diaz
            Casamayor
            Katsidis
*Legit and strong 3 division champ at feather, super feather, and lightweight
***ducker of Khan, Rios, Guerrero, Provodnikov

I'm not convinced he can win a title at 140 or above besides beating Pac. His best win at 140 and above besides PAC is Alvarado .

Well, his best Pedformance was against Pacquiao in the 4th fight. After all, he put Pac to sleep.

him stopping manny is a monumental victory for the ages ... not saying that sarcastically. manny is one of the greatest fighters to ever live, and for marquez to stop him in that fashion is one of the greatest single wins in boxing history...

unfortunately its tainted by him working with a known steroid cheat just like the patriots and their super bowl wins will always be tainted because they were caught cheating multiple times.
