This might be stylistically a decent fight. Since the Katsidis fight, I've been saying a key way to beat Marquez (other than being a superior boxer than JMM, which is rare) was to smother him and fight him on the inside. I think Rios with his granite chin and inside game would do great against JMM. He needs to make it a phone booth fight. It bothered me so much when Alvarado didn't bother to fight him that way (which he's capable of) and instead chose to try box JMM. Plus JMM is old and is coming off a year long layoff. Might be his time.Comment

Wasn't Brook going to face JMM? Rios...dunno, a win over shot Alvarado doesn't really warrant him a fight with JMM. Should fight Provodnikov...although if we get Provo-Matthysse, Brook-Khan, JMM-Rios, and Floyd-Pac, that will be the dream scenario.Comment

If history were to tell us anything it's that Arum has proved to have no force when it comes to Marquez accepting a fight. Marquez has ducked Rios, Pac, Provodnikov. I'd like to see Rios-Marquez but we all know Beristain and PEDquez would hate that fight.Comment

Put Matthysse with Marquez, Provotnikov with Rios in the same night and I could die after that night.Comment

Marquez will probably choose a fighter who will not force him to use VADA Test.Comment

Did you guys read the article? The Walters-Loma fight won't happen until both guys get another fight in, so don't expect that fight anytime soon.
Regarding Rios-Marquez, that fight has always been around for a while and has made sense, but at this point I rather see Marquez try to fight Brook and get another belt. Rios-Bradley wouldn't be too bad IMO.Comment
