Lucas was going to be let go by Haymon. We all know Haymon had to sacrifice some of his fighters to get Schaefer out of his no compete clause that was in his GBP contract.

You don't have to watch them all, just the ones you find exciting.

On a side note, you are happy to call fighters trash/garbage. But in reality the closest you will ever get to their respective accolades is to post about them on a fan site, possibly in an attempt to be amusing.

        NSB is great

Not sure since Haymon owns the whole world. Could be anybody. If I had to guess it would be Maidana, Russell Jr., Johnny Gonzales but that's just me guessing.

Yep. That's what should be done, move on. When you can't get the fight you want after so much begging and frustration, you have to move on. Matthysse wanted Garcia 2. It's not going to happen. Canelo wanted Cotto. Nothing. Hoya and Canelo have moved on. I expect Arum and Pacquiao to do the same. Move on. Good thing about moving on is that you gain back cards you lost on the table. You've done the begging part, then if they want the fight, it's their turn to beg. In Matthysse case, I don't think Garcia would want another part of Matthysse. Garcia is genuinely scared of another fight. Plus the fact that it's far from a money fight. In Cotto's case, if he doesn't get Mayweather then he has to treat another Canelo negotiation with utmost respect and forget the diva behaviour. It could be similar to Maywather in the Pac fight where he stands to make $150 million minimum. There's huge money there to consider.

Good choice by Matthysse. He could sign his life away with Haymon for 1 fight with Broner and nothing but shattered dreams for a rematch with Danny. By moving on, he now has a bunch of options of being in exciting fights and could possibly land him a huge fight with Pac.

The comment in this interview that caught my attention was the fact that Matthysse will fight in mid-March, but doesn't know who is opponent is yet. That is six weeks away. If he doesn't know who his opponent is six weeks from a fight, that means that he will not be fighting a major contender, but a journeyman who takes the fight on a couple of weeks notice.

He is free to sign with whoever he wants, but based on the fights that are being brought to us from Al Haymon, Matthysse may end up regretting the decision to leave Haymon and sign with GBP.
