    The Alvarado Appreciation Thread!

Yeah I think he quit and knew there was only 2 fingers in front of him but I can't be mad. I just feel sorry for the man. There is really something seriously wrong with him. From the legal troubles, speculated drug abuse, this man obviously didn't want to be there tonight.

But with that said I will still remember the master classing he gave Rios the 2nd time, the blood and guts war the 1st time, and the come from behind war he gave us against Prescott! I just want to say I still appreciate the wars you gave us and hope you can bounce back and get your head together!

Andre Ward said it best. Boxing is a brutal sport as it is. You can tell Alvarado went in there with so many problems outside the ring and was completely unprepared.

Alvarado is a decent fighter who's seen his best days. Good luck to him in the future. I definitely feel sorry for the dude he's obviously going through some stuff. Yes it was unprofessional to turn up the way he did but theres more to life than boxing and i wish him the best of luck.

As rockin never gets tired of saying, guys on here disrespect fighters so freely cos they have never "laced em up"

Its actually true. From my brief 20 fight am career i learnt to respect all fighters. This sport is a damn hard one. A guy who gets to the level Alvarado has fought at is a tried and tested warrior.

Even right now at this low point in Alvarados career, i give him my respect, for what its worth.

The glory that goes with the champions is amazing but we should always remember the wars of the warriors that tried!!!
I was only thinking today how crazy of a sport boxing is with the highs and lows of fighters!!!

                    War boxing!!!
