Its sad what Arum did to this man, put him in brutal fights. I remember that beating he took with Prescott, the devastating fights he had with Rios, Ruslan and Marquez all hitting him with hard power shots and dropping him and hurting and busting him up so bad.

    The man brain is mashed.
Are you kidding? Arum gave him a big payday and a good opportunity to revive his career even after 2 losses, on a headline HBO card. Alvarado admitted he didn't really train hard for the fight. Some fighters like Rios rise to the occasion while Alvarado proved he didn't care about his legacy, he just wanted one last payday fight. I'm sure arum could have put hum in a mismatch haymon style on Friday night fights and give him a little 50k payday and tune up fight, but he did Alvarado one better and gave him 750 and a great opportunity to prove he still had what it takes. He blew it plain and simple, he has nobody to blame but himself. At least hes a millionaire and probably doesn't need to work a real job a day in his life ever again if he's careful and he can retire at a young age, or he can refocus and dedicate himself and work his way back to the top like Manny pacquiao has done which is why by the way mayweather is scared! #sign the contract duckweather

the check will be for his legal fees. alvarado needs a long break to clear up his personal life. then maybe take a couple of fights to call it a career. i don't know what else that he can accomplish other than brain damage.i'm wishing him well to get it together.

Most of the world believes pacquiao would do exactly what he does against the other top opposition in the sport! Mayweathers Philly shell defense doesn't mean jack when Manny is tagging his chin all night with those vicious killer straight lefts all night, coming at him with speed hes never experienced before from all kinds of different angles, bombarding him with 100 punches a round like hes done to many other elite fighters in the sport, some who claim Manny pacquios speed is unmanageable and others who claim Manny might be the hardest puncher in boxing! #sign the contract #quit being a coward!
Like wholly f..uck man ,really turning a Alvarado thread into a Mayweather hate thread. There's already enough threads for you to choose to do that in and type your garbage.

Indeed, he probably has known Alvarado was finished before he signed the contract, Rios still is worth something and that fight was a gimme. I am sure he was hoping Alvarado would show some pride in that it was a rubber match so he would perform better than that, but I am pretty sure he knew the gas tank was on E.

well, you will hear it anyway. why do you think all those people were booing him? they took time off from their lives to come and support him, spend their money to pay him, so he can tell them all that he didnt take their money and time seriously enough to train?
and stop with that "givin his health" bullcrap, he was paid handsomely to go out and perform, and nobody forced any of that on him.
this hero worship of athletes is fine for kids looking for a hero, but its pathetic on a grown man.
