      rios is still the same.
      its his opposition that's different.

it sux to watch a boxer who doesnt even wanna be there get beat up like that.

although it wouldve been a ****** fight even if alvarado did fight back, its a match waiting for brain damage to happen.......
Rios was in better shape, showed more head movement and used jab and decent footwork. I thought he showed great improvement since their last fight and looking forward to seeing him against a decent opponent.

        To the op:

Yes it was effing awful. Mile high mike looked beyond bad, they said he showed up much later than Rios; probably busy smoking meth. He looked hurt by every shot, didn't throw anything back. I don't blame Rios tho he definitely showed up prepared.

The fight was anticlimactic for sure. Rios came well prepared and as a result had an easy fight against an unmotivated foe - Rios deserves credit for that.

Also, I detected something off from Mike during the prefight interview with Lampley - to me it looked like was high on kind of drug

Alvarado hardly threw a punch. What else can be said?

it was the perfect idea. the 3rd fight was designed too rejuvenate the career of the winner in a fight of the year candidate.

it didn't live up too the fight of the year hype, because Alvarado didn't prepare.

but it served its purpose of reviving the winner.

now rios is gonna get a better fight with possibly marquez or bradley

Just like Marquez/Vazquez 4....one fight too many. No reason for this fight to have happened.

yeah but... how hard is it to do what he did (given his level of profession) against someone who earmuffed and threw nothing back :/...

Not surprising you actually believed it.

The HBO broadcast began at 9:45 p.m. local time, which means it was the middle of the night in the UK.
