I was just watching bits and pieces on YouTube, and, apart from the way Lampley pronounces any foreign fighter's name in "the accent", then I have to ask... why the FUCK does he think Joe Calzaghe's last name has a K in it?

Lampley is HBO's attack dog on Hayman and Mayweather, during the Fight Game show. During the fights, he has another responsibility to overhype the HBO backed fighter, in addition to calling the fight . If Roy or Max are too complimentary of the opponent not backed by HBO, Lampley will often interrupt.

Roy: (Kovalev fight) you gotta give Hopkins credit
Lampley: Hopkins deserves all the credit in the world-but he lost the fight.

His obvious bias can get annoying, but he's okay as an announcer.
