The word "assist" suggests that showtime has a choice, they do not. Floyd has them by the balls with a ridiculous contract, that only an idiot like espinoza could possibly approve. You probably think by dissing the contract i'm dissing floyd, I am not. He's obviously the biggest draw in the sport hands down. I'm just saying it is insane to offer a fighter 32 million dollar guarantee's fighting fighters that do not have a casual fan base. No fighter in history could have carried this; well i take that back maybe Ali. Anyways, the point is Showtime has to walk a very fine line. Obviously, this fight is a way out of this ridiculous contract, but in the end they have NO SAY. As long as Floyd chooses a name that was pre-agreed upon in the contract, showtime is obligated to make the fight.

Arum got to do what he has to do. You can't go on waiting for people who clearly have no intention of being respectful when all forms of communication exist today. What's so hard about talking if there is this huge fight that could make you truckloads of money? If Espinoza and his people lacked balls to talk, then I don't think this fight will take place.Last edited by maguirre; 01-25-2015, 09:02 AM.Comment

Even if it's not Pacquiao, for whatever reason, I don't think it will be Cotto.Comment

Any publicity is good publicity in Arum's mind I guess. This is a multi-million dollar fight, as much as people want this fight to happen ASAP... You cant rush these things, Especially with 2 networks in play.Comment

You know why? Because it never occurred to you that he might actually want the Pacquiao fight. If he doesn't get it, it'll be Khan. Clear as day in my opinion. I've been wrong before though.Comment
