C'mon get real How can you compare Lennox Lewis & Mayweather???
Lennox beat every man he faced in the pro ring he didn't duck anyone. Lennox retired at exactly the right time. Who else was there to fight???
He'd TKO Vitali in 6 when he was barely 80 % in shape so what was the point in doing it again? Wlad took to the hills & hid out he wanted no part of Lennox that's for sure. Ike Ibeabuchi was unavailable so there was no legitimate challenger left
Mayweather on the other hand is the consummate cherry picking ducker. He wont fight anyone that he fears might beat him. Those he has faced he's made beating him practically impossible by only fighting in Vegas where he gets all the advantages like judges with bad eyesight & minders that double as referees
Lennox Lewis is the best HW champ since Ali Mayweather is a very talented COWARD!!!!

Good job that didn't apply to Bernard Hopkins isn't it ? He lost his pro debut

I think most fighters hang around too long. They get used to the money and the life style and they spend like it will last forever.

Two great exceptions are Rocky Marciano and Lennox Lewis. After his fight with Archie Moore, the "Brockton Blockbuster" knew he could no longer perform at his highest level and got out. He also held onto most of his money. He might still even be alive today had he not got on that plane.

Lewis also retired at the top and I doubt he has any money problems either. When it's it is time. I also have to mention Ricardo Lopez and Joe Calzaghe as well. And I will give Marvin Hagler credit, too. He never attempted a comeback which is admirable. When he said he was done, he meant it.
