This is the most blatant swerve for years .The money ole glass jaw can earn with Brook is far greater than with anyone at the moment but as with a Prescott rematch , Khan thinks if he closes his eye's it will go away. ....

Maybe but Khan could have fought Brook in May...if they both get beat or look really bad the Wembley sized appeal would no longer be there ...it is a duck.

Khan has a better chance of beating recently injured Brook than beating Manny of Floyd.

Considering Mayweather's delayed decision, a shrewd (and confident) fighter would take control of the situation rather that waiting. Fighting Brook first for a big payday and a title would give Khan a stronger position to negotiate terms (based on having a title) with either of the 2 biggest names in boxing.

Khan has numerous qualities but being shrewd is definitely not one of them. Is there a less intelligent man in boxing?

Only weeks ago before this idea was ever thought possible , Khan was talking about trying to get Bradley or Marquez...NOT the massive money fight with Brook ....it's a duck !

Bradley fight and Marquez fights are extremely tough fights. Both ranked higher than kell brook, and are much more known in usa. If Khan fights Floyd, Manny, Timothy, or Marquez, all those fights are more important legacy wise than the brook fight. He beats brook, everyone will call brook a bum who beat an overrated porter. But a win with the other guys would enhance his legacy more. Its not a duck. Dont get me wrong, a fight with khan and brook is a huge fight in the UK and if khan wins it will be very good, but a fight with the other guys is what khan should be going after first. Money is not the issue.

khan needs to sit back and wait till the mayweather/pacquiao issue is resolved. i think he's got a decent shot at getting either one if that fight doesn't work out.

Khan is confirmed for Pacquiao if the Floyd fight doesn't happen, and very well will probably fight Pacquiao after Pac Floyd if that happens. Of course he isn't going to take that before Brook.

Any suggestions otherwise are ******ed. Khan shouldn't fight Brook until he proves himself anyway. Brook needs to face Thurman. Fighting Jo Jo, a voluntary defense not a mandatory one show how much of bum hunter Brook is.
