It will only be a flop by Floyd vs Canelo standards but other wise a success.

if floyd ducks Pac in May he might be surprised at the backlash; a lot of boxing fans might not buy his next fight - even if it's Cotto.

I disagree the Floyd/Cotto threads have already begun people on here are already discussing the fight as if it has been already signed and not all are shooting it down most are saying they like it just not more than a Floyd/Pac fight. Most agree it's the only viable second option for Floyd on May 2nd. Kahn has only hurt his cause with the pathetic begging. That being said I'm with the majority who prefer a Pac/Floyd fight over all others.

Canelo didn't punk out. Cotto did. Canelo has wanted to fight Cotto for years. Roach is his trainer so of course he says that. Ask Canelo's trainer who chickened out. Canelo would knock fat little Cotto out and Cotto might know it and will fight the softer punching Mayweather. Canelo will do to Kirkland what he would have done to Cotto.

But it was Canelo who got up and left... Apparently you guys keep telling yourself this in the hopes it's actually true.

And as the poster before me said, Roach says a lot of things, and often contradicts himself, his fighters and their promoters. So what he says really doesn't mean much.
canelo was the one that left the table not cotto. You saying that canelo couldn't wait two days till tuesday for cotto's team to get back at them? Who is canelo to be giving deadlines?

So the guy who agreed to the fight is at fault for the fight not happening, because he got tired of waiting for the guy who was refusing to sign it?

Just making sure I'm getting this right.

Don't worry a truly great PR fighter will come along and you won't have to degrade yourself anymore to make silly Cotto look good.
