Should we eliminate the 154 and 168 weight classes? Make it like the old days?

    A possible solution:

    Heavyweight- No limit
    Cruiserweight- 200
    Light Heavyweight- 185
    Super Middleweight- 170
    Middleweight- 160
    Welterweight- 150
    Lightweight- 140
    Featherweight- 130
    Bantamweight- 120
    Flyweight- 110

10 divisions, the organizations merge to one or maybe 2. At the most twenty champions at any given time. Prestige returned.

That would be ideal. And as mentioned, enforce a strict weigh-in protocol to prevent cheaters. If you rehydrate into the next weight class, then no go.

nah that would be too much size difference

140 and 147 should merged together
154 and 160 should be merged together

I think the key word here is prevent cheaters. This sport needs to clean up it's act in a number of ways. Weight is a huge part of it. Plus who came up with these divisions to begin with? 112? Why not 110 or 115? 118? Why not 120? 126? why not 125? And 147? Why 147? Seems like they wanted complicated from the start.

I've always maintained there should be a limit on rehydration. Somewhere around 5% of the fighters weigh in weight would do it imo. Didn't one of the organisations start enforcing something like that?

These extra weight classes allow more top fighters a chance of winning a world title other wise you would have top guys never getting a shot .

Yes. Can you imagine how stacked with talent 160 would be without 154 and 168???

                Canelo
                Lara
                Trout
                Cotto
                GGG
                Martinez
                Quillin
                Lee
                Murray
                Ward
                Froch
                Groves
                Degale
                Direll
                Many more
                Possibly Mayweather?

I mean all these guys could fight each other anyway with the current weight class.
