He's been robbed one too many times as a fighter, against big strong guys.
And I can't believe you think Malignaggi will make it out of round 5 against Cotto.
Yeah but hes 40 years old!
As for Malignaggi I think he has WAY WAY more of a chance at beating Cotto than does Norris against those guys. I mean I don't think its a good comparisson at all.

Lets just say I have a hunch about this kid.
Haye had his ass handed to him by a 40 year old Carl Thompson, Bell was stopped by an algerian who was at the end of his career, Braithwaite was knocked out by a blown up welterweight, and Mormeck would have the style that plays into the Juice's hands directly. Oh and Guillermo Jones is a blown up welterweight.
I'm not the least bit impressed by the Cruiserweights.....and Norris has faced the stiffer opposition of everyone times fifteen thousand.
at CW, he had an iron chin, a huge heart, a huge punch, excellent technique and body work, he was almost a total package.
but after toney ruined him and he moved up to HW, he has become a shadow of his former self. jirov should either move back down to CW, or just hang 'em up.
jirov seems like one of the nicest guys in person.. hes not crazy like most boxers. he is just a big kid reminds me there are still some good people in this world
Jirov would have been one of the best cruisers ever if he had just stayed there. I think he could have beaten Toney in a cruiser rematch, with a better corner. Brooks kept telling him to "punch him on the arms" "punch him on the shoulders" and Jirov was wasting effort and energy that he desperately needed going into the last 2 rounds, when the fight was on the table. Toney closed the show nicely and deserved the win, but the scorecards for the fight were ridiculous. It was a 2-3 point win for Toney. With a smarter corner and strategy, then Jirov wins I think.
As for now, I think Jirov took too much punishment against Mesi. Yeah, he dominated at the end, but he was beat up throughout that fight. And then Moorer caught with a big punch out of nowhere. Jirov never should have moved up to HW, but hey...he made more in his first HW fight than he did in probably his last 3 cruiserweight fights probably. So who can blame him for trying? If he had known that King and Showtime would start promoting the cruisers like they did, then maybe he wouldn't have.
I don't think Jirov is "shot" just yet. I think it's easy to stumble on the comeback road with "gimmee" fights that are hard to get up for. If he can get himself back into a spotlight fight on ESPN or on SHO as a cruiser, then we'll see if he's done or not.
