Amir Khan is still holding out hope of landing a blockbuster fight against Floyd Mayweather in May but says he would take on Manny Pacquiao if that falls through.

WBC and WBA welterweight champion Mayweather is currently deliberating on who his next opponent will be after recording a unanimous decision win over Marcos Maidana in his last bout in September.

WBO welterweight champion Pacquiao has gone on record saying he has agreed to the terms for a hotly-anticipated bout at Las Vegas' MGM Grand on May 2 and has given Mayweather until the end of the month to sign a deal.

Who knows. All we hear is rumors.

A week or two ago I was pretty optimistic about Floyd vs Manny but now it looks much less likely. I would say at this point there's a decent chance Khan gets to fight either Floyd or Manny next. And if he doesn't, the Brook fight will still be there for the taking.

Last year he was ****** to wait on Floyd but he's doing the right thing now. There are lots of possibilities, he should take his time, see how everything plays out and figure out the best move.
