Mayweather holding down Cotto to foil Canelo's plans?

Cotto/canelo would of moved from that date anyway if floyd was fighting pac.
i think floyd likes the idea of having 3 lineal titles..... thats why he's considering it.

why would he want to screw over cotto? nobody is going to not watch floyd vs manny to watch cotto vs canelo. there's zero reason behind that logic. and oscar may be a moron but he knows better than to put canelo/cotto vs floyd/manny.

Yeah, possibly. Plus acquiring the belt would give him more options rather than be cornered into fighting Pacquiao in his next fight. He would have a Canelo rematch on the horizon for the MW belt or GGG(doubt it), as well as a crapload of other fighters for him to pick from in 3 weight divisions.

If Mayweather fights Pacquiao and Canelo ends up fighting someone other than Cotto, then its on Cotto. He should know better than to trust Mayweather

Floyd has planned to fight Cotto ever since he Beat Martinez.

To do that he has to outbid Canelo and make the public think he wanted to fight Pac and blame it on Arum.

Trouble is, no one wants to see the fight since its been done and doesnt meet any rematch criteria so with Floyd getting $32mil there's no way they can pay Cotto anything decent.

Add to that no one is buying FLoyds pretend Pac negotiations and hes going to lose MAy 2 or go head 2 head with HBO.

Be interesting to see what plan B is.
