This fight is becoming more and more possible..
Is De La Hoya finished, who do you think would win this fight?

I am saying this from a boxing fan perspective, I think Mayweather would win. I just think that he is the best right now as far as skill, speed and defense and would give De La Hoya trouble.

Oscar will box a very mature fight and box floyd systematically! His advantages in size and strngth at 147 will be too much for floyd. Oscar on pts

DLH wins this fight on points, he's too big for floyd.
        DLH 5'11 reach:73"
        PBF 5'7 reach:72"he has a good reach
The only way PBF is gonna win is by outboxing DLH, wich i don't think he will. DLH is bigger, stronger, more powerfull. and he's very fast too, he will be the best opponent floyd has ever faced.
i think DLH will win this fight on points, with not too much trouble.

PS: i recalled DLH saying he would never fight floyd because he is trained by floyd his father.

Well what if Mayweather captures a couple belts at 147. De La Hoya would like to be champ at that division..
I think he fears the fact that Floyd is a big risk with little rewards. It won't look good for De La Hoya if he was to lose t Floyd..

Oscar DeLaHoya has never, & will never, outbox another boxer.

I don't care how much bigger he is than Floyd, he won't beat Floyd at his own game.

Oscar would need to be very physical with Floyd....he'd need to impose his size & power advantages on him.....
But, I can see Oscar coming out & fighting with the overly tentatitve & always pussified type of approach he offers in the majority of his bigger fights.

So you think Mayweather will beat him?
Do you think he'll outpoint him or stop him?
From what we seen in De La Hoya's last fight, he doesn't like getting hit the body too much..

maybe, but i don't think DLH would lose to PBF unless his confidence is shot after the KO loss to mr. hopkins. but yes if PBF becomes champ at 147 than DLH will have no choise but to fight him. i think mosley will beat PBF too, just read an article about him where he said "i'm gonna be a monster at welterweight" he says he will go to the body early and will start punching with bad intentions. The future is bright for 147
you have mosley, margarito, spinks, judah, DLH, cintron, and soon probably tszyu and cotto, and mitchell will go up to, but he will get KTFO by everybody

I would actually pick Floyd to win at 147...
Not something I'd lay money on....more like a hunch.

One thing Oscar DeLaHoya cannot do.....& that's boxing & being offensively dominant at the same time. Nor can he be aggressive & defensively sound at the same time.

So, against Floyd, he better go for broke & hope to overwhelm him.

He claims he'll be reckless in the ring at 147, but that will all change when he tastes any bit of power from someone who can punch accurately..

Everyone now knows the key to beating Mosley is the jab.
