            This is great news for the sport. A heavyweight American champ who knocks almost all his opponents out is what will start converting casuals into more interested fans.

                That ain't too bad. Seems to be what GGG and Chavez Jr. pull in on their HBO fights as well, but they are (in Junior's case, were) middleweights. I am surprised that the thirst for an American HW champ didn't increase those numbers to double. Afterall, Showtime is in 25+ million homes and we always put so much emphasis on the state of boxing popularity by gauging the heavies.

                  It's mostly because of the timing, it's the first major fight of the year. Fans are salivating to see boxing matches at this time of the year.
