BoxingScene.com has been advised that a final WBC featherweight eliminator, between Marvin Sonsona (19-1-1, 15KOs) and unbeaten Jayson Velez (22-0, 16KOs), is back on the table. The fight is being targeted for a date in early April. The venue is unknown at the moment.

Velez's team attempted, without success, to secure several title shot opportunities, including a rematch with IBF champion Evgeny Gradovich.

Good fight from the 1st till around the 5th or 6th, afterwards they'll gas out and get sloppy. Sonsona can be outboxed but his power is disgusting, however his stamina is horrendous. Velez can easily take this as long as he doesn't try to trade with Marvin during the first half, after that it's pretty much cruise control.
