Arum runs the show. Are you debating this? Floyd in the article says there are negotiations and he wants to make the fight. How does that translate to ducking?
You strike me as the type of guy who believes whatever comes out of Floyds mouth.

Maybe you should take a step back, whenever you hear him or anyone else talk, and try to see similar patterns and make up your own conclusion instead of eating whatever comes out of Floyd.

        First time poster...

Just curious... what was the point of calling up Manny directly like he did a couple years ago then if Manny is just a pawn? And who actually believes that the two fighters don't have a say in how they negotiate their fights?

True, the promoters run the event, the promoting, and matchmaking. True, the promoters get handsome percentages and profits as a result. But to think that Manny and Floyd, the two top PPV attractions in the sport, don't get a say?

        Blatantly false.

Floyd also left Top Rank before he ever even broke 400k PPV. So by comparison, Manny is a much bigger commodity to Top Rank than Floyd was when he left Bob Arum.

Also, Manny has said on camera more than once that "Me and my promoter have agreed to whatever Floyd wants." You can either count this is as a lie, or truth, and base your opinion on which of those sides of the coin you land on.

And don't mix up fighter's and networks and how they respectively negotiate. They are two separate issues. Connected, sure, but still separate.

And in closing... The fighters will not fight without a contract, and last I checked that contract is a FIGHTER'S contract, meaning Floyd and Manny are both the kings of their side of the chessboard.

Lame. From my knowledge Floyd tried in 2008/09 and again with the 40Mil after Manny said he would take less. Perfect example that Floyd's claim about Pacquiao is justifiable. Remember when Manny said he would take less to fight Mayweather and then when Bob Arum was asked he said "absolutely not". Obviously Bob is running the show.
Bob is running the show? Then why did Floyd call up Manny and offer him 40 million personally?

That is the career high payday question Ryan. Naturally, none of floyds defenders will even attempt to answer it.

We can speculate but we won't know. But if you think a fighter is being lied to, calling him directly and letting him know what's up is a start. Maybe Manny forces the promoter's hand. We'll never know though because he passed the phone to Koncz like a trained animal smh.

Trying to get to the source but Manny can't make that call because when Bob Arum was asked Bob said "absolutely not" Manny won't take less.
