    Bute signs with Al Haymon!?!

... On Instagram and Facebook, Bute just announced that he signed with Al Haymon to "represent' him...

... Does Haymon need someone to feed Stevenson with?

Stevenson's last fight pulled in 292k, he needs a dancing partner to get his numbers up.

Bute can probably beat Stevenson though, he is a better boxer.

It's clearly a move for Stevenson to get a sacrificial lamb.

This will be Stevenson's excuse for not fighting Kovalev in 2015.

Smart move for Haymon. "Les Quebecoises" used to love Bute, because he is fan-friendly... Bute always sold out Bell Centre while fighting various bums...
... Either Stevenson beats Bute or not, Haymon is in a win-win position anyway...

Doubt it. Bute has mental demons. He's a better boxer than Pascal but he was too worried about getting hit to let his hands go until literally waiting for the last moment in the 12th. Stevenson would easily catch and stop Bute.

Yep, ever since the Froch fight Bute has looked a shadow of his former self.

Yeah. Clearly a career changing beating.

... Actually, Bute never had a professional trainer (Larouche was a joke, who held no required knowledge to teach Bute anything new since he left the amateurs).
... As about the Froch fight: I hold enough "inside information" that allow me to tell you that Bute was totally "out of order" when he entered the ring. (I don't want to defend Bute here, because I also think he's done for top level boxing...)

Agree about the trainers from that area in general. They teach the absolute most basic stuff, and are at a lower level than the top tier. They'd be good trainers for starters, before moving on to bigger and better things. It's a shame fighters get stuck with them due to promotional reasons.

No Bute can't. He'd get sparked out.
