Jean Pascal has no respect for his countryman, WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson. The two Haitian-born Canadian stars have a real rivalry brewing. They respective agents were in talks last year to stage a fight for this coming April. They were unable to reach an agreement.
Pascal is the mandatory challenger to Stevenson's title. He could have sat back and waited for the opportunity to fight for that belt. Instead he's scheduled to challenge WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev on March 14th at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The World Boxing Council has ordered Stevenson to face the winner of that contest.
