Mayweather vs Cotto is a BS fight.!!

As soon as Cotto beat the gimping Martinez, I predicted he would be Floyd Fairweather's next opponent. He wants the record books. Some people attempt to fool history, and they never succeed. Calzaghe is already nearly forgotten, and never even mentioned on all time P4P lists.
For all of Fairweather's records, his historical legacy will fare no better than other fighters who refused to fight risky opponents when they were still risky. Any fight with Pacquiao is already a mockery now. I find something inherently repulsive about a pair of once great fighters meeting for a swan song cashout when they could have met years before. People need to stop pretending that a fight with Pacquiao is still meaningful.
A fight with Cotto is even more meaningless, of course. I see no reason to care about either fight. Fairweather and Pacquiao should both retire. There is no meaningful fight for either.Comment

It's a silly fight. I called it as soon as Cotto beat Sergio.
Funny how Floyd wanted none of Martinez but then Cotto gets the upset and then Floyd wants it.
Even though a pac fight is long past it's last sell date, it will forever be a skidmark on Floyd's career if it doesn't happen.Comment

Are there Mayweather fans actually defending the idea of Mayweather/Cotto 2?Great thread and I agree.
Mayweather groupies want it because it's an easy fight and Floyd can get the "lineal" middleweight title that he will not defend against Golovking.
And the second group that want it is emotional Cotto fans (mainly Puerto Ricans) who think he'll beat him chance (he won't).Comment
