Comments Thread For: Pacquiao's Ex-Coach Anticipates Mayweather-Cotto II

RICK Stahaley, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer when he won his first world title, believes Floyd Mayweather Jr. is likely to fight Miguel Cotto in a rematch on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and will leave the Filipino southpaw out in the cold.

Stahaley told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard/Viva Sports that when a possible May 2 showdown between Saul Alvarez and Cotto was announced, Mayweather immediately reacted, saying that he has fought on that date for the past three years.

Floyd's options: 1. fight a 5'6'' blown up featherweight midget who has several losses and make $120 million OR

      2. Fight that midget's leftovers in a rematch of a fight that wasn't close on the scorecards for way less money hmmm....

Floyd offered Manny $40 mil flat after agreeing to 50/50 2 years earlier while Manny was still number 1 pound for pound...

I mean anticipating Floyd won't fight Manny...not really going out on a limb...

When was manny no.1 pound 4 pound? Not in the WW. Floyd has sewed up that division. Why would Floyd take on more dangerous opponents to avoid Lil manny? Why have manny fought amateurish pillow punching opponents since getting ktfo? Yet Floyd's scared of him? Humm..
