It's one thing to match these Haymon fighters with low level opponents, it's another thing to overpay them. The logic is senseless. I mean they'd be thankful to be given non risky fights, which is why they're signing up. But why is Haymon obligated to overpay them? LSC would have been happy to get $350K in his sparring fights, same amount Mares got as undercard in the Mayweather fight. But man, $750K is too much. I'm sure he got $1 million in his last fight. Of course, LSC would want $3 million on competitive fights. It's expected.

Because it benefits him. All this talk of Al Haymon being great for his fighters makes people forget that Al Haymon is great for himself. The bigger purse he gets his fighters, the bigger his own cut. This isn't all some altruistic endeavour to make fighters money, he is looking out for himself first and foremost.

But the model isn't sustainable IMO, especially now the Showtime gravy train looks to be coming to an end.

What's even funnier is he's been the one dropping Rigo's name multiple times. Which, in principle, effectively increases Rigo's stock value. In this case, LSC plays beggar and chooser at the same time. Totally different when Khan, for example, wants certain fights badly. He makes adjustments and offers part of his earnings to the one he's calling out.

I'm still a LSC fan maybe the last one here. So many fair weatherd fans on this site. I'm a Rigo fan too so hope down the road the fight gets made.

As far as The 3 mill goes I don't really care and dont think he'll get that but honestly if that fight ever gets made he'll probably be making in the ballpark of that figure.

Guerrero making 2.5 to face Thurman / Ward got 2 mill to fight Rodriguez who got a mill. Bradley got 2 mill to face Diego Chaves. Personally for me LSC/Rigo is a better fight than all of those .

So if LSC thinks the risk is worth 3 mill then that's what it is especially if he's getting 750k to fight sparring partners. I don't see any other fighter even mention RIGOS name most just hide at least LSC set his price for what most likely is going to result in him getting boot f.u..ck..Ed from pillar to post.
