with ALL due respect to you, but the term "great white hope" is a term coined for the heavyweight division where for many years there were no white heavyweight champions...obviously those days are gone...and even at or around middleweight, you have had Pavlick, Calzaghe, Froch, Antuefermo, Collins, Lucas, etc etc as recognized world champions in the modern era...there is no longer such thing as a "Great White Hope"...

In the heavyweight division the "Great White Hope" has become the "Great American Hope". Nationalistic but color blind.

GGG has clear, undeniable talent. Although I don't think he's ducked by everyone, most of the top names are avoiding him because at this point of his career the risk of facing him outweighs the potential reward.
