California fighter Terry Davis . 21 amateur pulls outs.

Davis had an ok career, he once fought michael moorer and henry til man. , he had limited amateur expierence and when he did fight in the amateurs he was heavily muscled and when other fighters would see his physique, they would pull out of the fight not wanting to face someone that muscular. That happened to terry Davis 21 times int he amamteur ranks, so he just went pro. That is bizzarre. Definetly a unique boxing story.

THATS CRAZY that you remember Terry Davis....

my Dad, back in his "boozin days" was drinking buddies with Terry and his trainer/manager Gary Sullenger, Terry is from Napa (my hometown) but trained in American Canyon and Vallejo.

he won a regional belt one time as a pro, and brought it to Harry 'O Shortal's bar in Napa...people were taking pictures wearing the belt, smackin each other with it, etc...and THEN, somebody dropped the belt, and it shattered into a thousand pieces on the floor!!! The thing was a rubber belt w/ plastic accessories!!!

just thought I'd share that with ya
