Comments Thread For: Stiverne-Wilder: BoxingScene.com's Staff Predictions

The experts remain divided in trying to determine the winner, but nearly everyone with an opinion on the fight believes the night will end with a vicious knockout.

Every heavyweight title fight should be met with this much anticipation.

Even with Wladimir Klitschko as the division’s true World champion, tonight’s clash between defending titlist Bermane Stiverne and unbeaten challenger Deontay Wilder has fans abuzz like no other stateside heavyweight fight in recent memory. The promotion and timing of the fight may not reflect as much, but make no mistake: from now until at least kickoff time for the first game NFL conference championships, social media conversation will be flooded with talks of his fight.

Wilder KO Stiverne inside 6 rounds. U can laugh at Wilders comp but its funny that hes fought more guys with winning records than Stiverne. Only guy Stiverne has over Wilder is Arreola.

I only pick Deontay IF he can keep his composure and head, and establish a jab if not then I do see Stiverne winning. Either way its an exciting fight and am looking forward to it.

But as a side note, to compare Wilder now to the amateurs is dumb, he fought way different and he fought small in the Ams, hes learned to use his length and height more as a pro

Stiverne by KO...I've never seen Wilder in a difficult situation in the ring, the kind of situations where power doesn't cut it, situations where split second instincts and proper technique make a big difference, I think Stiverne is technically better and smarter than Wilder, Wilder has the power but Stiverne has more weapons, i might be wrong in my observation but i've noticed Wilder not move his head much while he throws combos, Stiverne could counter some of his bomb attacks and land a punch that puts Wilder in a whole new situation that he's not accustomed to, and down goes the giant

                Pretty strong statement right there.
