Have you started boxing but then got discouraged because you thought it was to hard? In my situation I started when I was 17. I went to the gym and after about a month I started sparring. But, once I started it was like I was sparring everyday without learning anything new. I used to tell my trainer that I need to work on my defense and movement but he would just tell me to hit the bag then the next week I was sparring again. I wasn't scared to sparr but I needed to improve my skills. Unfortunately there is only one trainer around my town so I quit. I went back but it was the same thing all over again. It was hard for me because I love the sport.
Have you ever been discouraged?

What did you do in that month? At my gym I did about 2 months of developing technique and whatnot before sparring. It can be discouraging on your first spar or whatever, though you get used to it I suppose. Things become more naturally, and you react properly. Though ya, if your trainer sucks, then I guess that could suck because who else is gonna teach you? -
During that month I learned how to throw a jab, right, a left hook and how to block a jab. But it seemed after that I wasn't thought anything else but to spar. my trainer told me he wanted me to tough but, I was getting tagged by more experience guys and I didn't know how to avoid it. I stuck in there for a couple months but got discouraged.Comment

You must not watch much boxing, because boxers always whine. About money, opponents, managers, promoters, decisions, etc.Originally posted by BoxerdogRule #1:

Yeah sometimes I get discouraged with boxing. When u first start theres alot of training and its hard to see the results at first, but when u get in the ring and spar, it makes all the training worth it.Comment
