  • Comments Thread For: David Lemieux Officially Signs With Golden Boy Promotions

Less than a week after handlers for David Lemieux confirmed such talks, the power punching middleweight has now officially signed with Golden Boy Promotions, BoxingScene.com learned Friday afternoon.

Terms were not revealed, but Lemeiux and his team are excited about what the future has in store.

"David has shown us that he is ready for the elite of the division," stated manager Camille Estephan, who has been in talks with Golden Boy from the moment Lemieux was declared a free agent. Good pickup for golden boy, they need to sign some already established fighters because they really don't have many and the ones they do have have their contracts running out their next fight
hopefully Oscar and re sign those guys.

Geale wouldn't be a bad gauging opponent.i doubt Lemieux stops him but if he did he'd make a statement, dangerous fight though tbh I don't see it happening.

Cotto too would be an awesome fight,I doubt Miguel would fancy getting in the ring with the guy.maybe they should try and tempt Lee,if they can monopolise that belt GGG will come knocking and theyll have to pay Lemieux his worth as opposed to lowballin him.

He'll probably get a soft-touch like Abraham Han for his first fight before they step him up with a Heiland/T.Johnson. Don't think they risk him against Monroe, where he could lose a non-action fight.

What do you mean? We find out next week if Pete's going to fight Andy Lee for his old title on the undercard of Garica/Peterson. #BigThings2015
