But he was worried about 10 extra days of testing so he lost the biggest payday of his career. Real smart. Now he can't stop talking about Mayweather. Almost as bad as ****ing Amir Kahn. These guys are desperate for a payday.

Im certain that's the most intelligent response you can think of. I understand your limited intelligence level won't allow you to grasp any logical concepts. Such as past accomplishments and earnings in the past decade has nothing to do with the negotiations taking place at this present time.

What I don't understand is how a group of people can flood a forum in defense of a fighter, but he can't seem to sell enough PPVs. Not even in China. Are you guys actually buying Manny Pacquiao's fights? Probably not.

Since you all like posting results of PPV buys, post the results of their last 4 fights. Which is what really matters at this present time. You guys are talking about fighter of the decade when it's 2015, halfway through another decade lol. Floyd is at the top of the Forbes list for all athletes, Pacquiao is 11th. Thanks for that article too to clarify my stance.

Pacquiao is clearly inferior to Mayweather in the earning market, especially recently. Mayweather is who really sells this fight. It's rather generous of him to give a 60/40 split and all who hate him should actually applaud him for that generous offer. It could be because he fears the fight may never happen if he doesn't do it now so he has to clock that huge payday. It could be he wants to give the fans what they wanna see finally. But I'd say it's a way too generous offer.

If this fight doesn't happen, Mayweather is still going to sell more than Pacquiao regardless of who he fights. And he going to make more money. The main reason is after his losses Pacquiao is not going to take any fights he can potentially lose and lose the little amount of buyers he already has. He's not going to fight a guy like Canelo Alvarez or even Maidana. Jessie Vargas? Please. That's a disgrace to boxing. He's going to fight bums and do 400-500k because that makes Arum happy.

If you want to call Maidana a bum, so be it. But looking at the current level of opposition for Manny Pacquiao, it's clear to see who's fighting bums. I believe Manny Pacquiao needs Floyd Mayweather a lot more than Floyd Mayweather needs him. And I'd give that guy 70/30 since his current numbers and opponents have been a joke, his wins haven't been impressive at all, and he wouldn't sniff 60 million dollars unless he fought 3 times in a year which at his age I doubt. And Mayweather has made 70 million off of one fight. Even having the highest guarantee amount of any other fighter in history. Mayweather 140 Pacquiao 60. That's my opinion. And I'd say it's a strong one.

With no Cotto-Canelo, it's that much more obvious there won't be Floyd-Manny. As I've said before: See ya in Vegas 5/2 for Floyd-Cotto 2.

A week ago there were high hopes for Manny-Floyd AND Cotto-Canelo. Today one is dead and the other might as well be. #boxing

        • Stephen Espinoza: Mayweather ‘Laser-focused’ On Making Pacquiao Fight

“Some has perceived that as lack of interest, but it’s the opposite – he’s so focused on getting it done that he doesn’t want to say anything publically that would complicate the negotiations,” Espinoza said. “He wants it as much as he’s ever had, and our marching orders are to do our best to get it done a fast as possible.”

no one buys ppv because of a fighters past ppv history.
have you ever heard some mayweather fans saying "ill buy this fight because of the sole reason of floyd had sold so many ppv in the past."

floyds main selling point is his boxing skills againts the best available competition. when people think that floyd could be tested- it sell more ppv.

what can manny offer that no other boxer could?
            1. the best opponent that floyd could face
            2. an opponent that can beat floyd
            3. the boxer floyd avoided for 5 years (yes it is a selling point)
            4. winner get 2010-2019 fighter of the decade
            5. winner would be considered the best fighter of this generation.
6.a fight between 2 top 15 atg. its 40 years since that happen.( probably the only one our lifetime thus it is very special)
7.floyd biggest guarantee and best ppv in his lifetime.

floyd and manny's ppv is not that far off againts common opponent. it means nobody is piggy backing over each others popularity. if floyd fought algiere im sure it would have almost the same ppv regardless if they stacked the undercards.

i see your point "that floyd sell had sold more ppv- i totally get it.
but if you would not accept the point that i'd made. it means your mind is too biased to accept point of views other than those that defended floyd's.
