Sad thing is that out of this 910000 Stiverne is making, Don King will still take at least 40%.

I can see the argument for Wilder being the money fighter (but it a very weak case).
I can't see why they just can't get an equal purse split.
A million $$$ is a fair and decent payday for both regardless.

Welcome to Don Kingsville Bermane......Not only are you getting humiliated by your challenger getting paid more of a purse....but if when all is said and done you have more than 200k of that 910k of that in the bank consider yourself damn lucky.

Good paydays for these fighters! Champ should have gotten a bigger cut, but Wilder is the American hopeful.

I think in this fight they should get paid the same. Wilder brings the hype and excitement and Stiverne brings the title and experience to test the young KO machine so will see it looks like a good heavyweight fight.

In comparison, HBO finished off 2014 spending 640k (in purses) on the Lemieux/Rosado card. Their entire card cost less than Santa Cruz's purse! That is ludicrous. LSC is getting paid big and Showtime looks crazy.Last edited by kiaba360; 01-16-2015, 10:36 AM.
