I disagree with the majority I think Guerrero is very good fighter, I just never understood why there was such a rush to move up to 147. He beat the hell out of Katsidis at 135 and looked great doing it, he should have stayed there or if the weight was a problem then move to 140 for a while, but all of a sudden he just decided he was a welterweight. He is also a good fighter at 147 but hasn't carried the weight brilliantly so is not the same fighter, his chin, workrate, and the fact that he still has good pop have made him competitive but his movement is poor and he is much slower at this weight. He did end up landing Mayweather, so financially it was a good move but ultimately I don't think it helped his legacy at all.

In terms of Thurman - I think it's a jump in class for him and a dangerous fight, especially if Thurman has a shaky chin. Guerrero is not going to get blown away and he has heavy hands. If Thurman uses movement he can make it an easy fight, it's difficult to know how Thurman will approach the fight, he has to nullify Guerrero's workrate. Can he do this by boxing? Is he good enough off the back foot? Another way is to use his power to hurt Guerrero and get his respect early or even get him out of there. It's an interesting fight.

So Robert saw the Bundu fight, and saw something that made him think he can beat Thurman. Many people are feeling Thurman might be a bum, after that Bundu performance.

The guy is correct. Robert first lost to Gamiliel Diaz in an upset, then avenged the loss a few fights later. But onto the thurman fight, he didn't look too good against Bundu his last time out, but i doubt any of the elites would look good against Bundu either, he had a very akward style.

Guerrero has adapted to this weight class very well and will challenge thurman in every aspect of this fight. Thurman got rocked by Soto-Karass and he's a journeyman, a gatekeeper so to speak. Robert is levels above Jesus in every dpt. And will look to impose his will on Keith, and i think his experiance might bail him out of some tough spots here and there. But let's not forget Guerrero can punch a little too!

50/50 fight for me, but i favor Robert to pull it off in a great fight.

Of course he is, I wasn't trying to say that he wasn't, what I'm trying to say is that better fighters step up and beat Salido (M. Garcia and Gamboa). If you're not at a certain level, Salido will eat you alive. Guerrero is not at that level. Robert Guerrero got owned. Beat from pillar to post. To be a great fighter, you have to beat great fighters. Robert has not done that. Salido showed everyone where Guererro stands and that is nowhere near the top.

Did you see his last fight?

He was being told by his father to box and he doesn't have the physical capabilities to move around and do that anymore

He's gonna get knocked out by Thurman fighting him in the pocket
I think he was just rusty from being on the sideline that long. The Guerrero in that fight was horrible.
