HBO and Showtime meeting for 2nd day in a row.

As reported by Lance Pugmire and others.

I just want to throw that out there...

Would the top execs from both networks be meeting like this without assurances from both fighter's camps that they are on board?

Logically, the networks agreeing should be last domino to fall right?

I think that Floyd's last demand is that SHO are the ones producing the show even if its broadcast by both. I think thats what he meant when he said its gotta be on Showtime PPV. Lewis vs Tyson was produced by HBO and broadcast by both, for example.

I dont know how HBO feel about that but considering Les Mooves is the one doing all the work, its safe to say SHO earned it. And Im sure Team Manny is cool with it.

Even though, i do prefer HBO's production team personally.

Yes, I agree, it wouldn't make any sense to meet unless both camps have confirmed a fight. Hope this works out great for everyone.

The way Kevin Iole made it sound, is that the fight is really just waiting on HBO and Showtime to figure out these differences, and then it will be signed. They asked him if it was 75-80% done, and he replied even higher. He made it sound like its going to happen. He also mentioned that ticket prices are going to be ridiculous, as they shoot for a 50 mil gate.

Edit: I'd just like to add to Issac Clark i told you so.

Naw man, we don't want Jim "**** **** ****" Lampley, and Harold Lederman riding on Pacquiao's nuts because he "winked" at him.
Showtime are more neutral they were giving Maidana a **** ton of credit in his first fight with Mayweather, more than he deserved actually.

Just as long as Paulie Malignaggi isnt involved in the broadcast in any shape or form, i guess we'll have to live with an inferior broadcoast.

Man it sounds like these guys are close and everyone is trying to keep it diplomatic. If Showtime and HBO can agree on something, I'm popping bottles this weekend. I thought this portion of that SI/Espinoza interview was telling:

SI.com: It’s hard to figure out who is talking to who...

SE: I think, at least on our side, it’s all hands on deck. It’s a high priority for CBS and for Showtime. If the receptionist here had an in for making the fight happen, we would enlist him or her.

SI.com: Pacquiao’s side is publicly making a lot of concessions. The perception if this fight doesn’t happen will be that Floyd didn’t do enough. What does Floyd need to get this done?

SE: The perception Floyd isn’t doing enough to get it done is perhaps a little our fault. Through this latest round of discussions, we have adopted a strategy of saying as little as possible. Perhaps clarifying a few things would have helped the p.r. battle. But we’re not fighting the p.r. battle. We’re fighting to make a great event. As a group, we think the less said the better. So, yes, Floyd is suffering in the p.r. war but he is sticking to a strategy we all decided is the most likely to result in the fight happening.

                Too early to call anything.

These kind of negotiations are interlaced, corroborated, cross-related...
The "money providers" have to put everything together.

Fine, showtime gets to produce it, and let HBO make a documentary style series on it a few years later, with all the backstage politicking and wealing and dealing going on to make fight happen.

But as per the Pac camp all things are agreed by them and are only waiting for Floyd's signature
