Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr. Still Hints at PED Use in Pacquiao's Past

BoxingScene.com caught up with Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., to discuss a potential mega-fight showdown with Manny Pacquiao, the WBO welterweight champion, for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Several years ago, Floyd Sr. (among other members of his family) accused Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs. The accusations began in early 2010, when Pacquiao refused to accept Mayweather's demand for a random drug testing protocol.

If you look at Pacquiaos complete body of work throughout his entire career, he has been consistent since he first started fighting as a youngster. Nothing to suggest PEDS. He used to be called "the destroyer" for a reason. I give Pac his props. I just hope we can make this fight finally happen. Even though the fight will never be what is was supposed to be, it should still be a classic. Bring on Mayweather vs Pacquiao!

Jesus ****ing christ, does this guy ever learn? Does he honestlyfeel that intimidated by pacquiao, and fear for his sons health that much,or does he just love the attention that he gets from bringing this up every few months?

Probably a little of both. I wouldn't really have expected him to change his mind about Pacquiao in any case, and the point he brings up (that Pacquiao hasn't knocked anyone out in a few years) has been made by more than a few people both before and after the Algieri fight.

How abt Floyd not knocking out anybody ever since he started taking the test too? I mean same thing can be said abt both guy. And when has Manny touch someone and the guy would be KTFO? Never happened. Except for Hatton. Can it just be that his power is not the same at the higher weight?
